Why can't I find my listing on marketplaces?

If you’re having trouble locating your ticket listing on resale sites, it’s likely due to how these platforms manage visibility and search results. Ticket marketplaces adjust the display of listings based on factors like pricing, demand, and fee structures. Some listings may be hidden or reprioritized to favor primary ticket sales, boost urgency, or match competitor pricing. As a result, your tickets might still be live but buried in search results or displayed differently than expected.

Additionally, with the shift to all-in pricing, ticket marketplaces now show buyers the full ticket price upfront—including all fees. This means the price you set may not match what buyers see, making it challenging to find your own listings by price alone. Some platforms allow toggling off all-in pricing to view base ticket prices without fees, but not all do.

To find your tickets easier on marketplaces, consider removing filters like “recommended tickets,” “best deal,” or “fees included” when searching.

FlipSeats currently only integrates with Ticketmaster Account Manager (season ticket holder accounts) and supports US-based teams. This means you can list tickets for most US sporting events in your Ticketmaster Account Manager, as long as your team or venue allows resale. (Some teams may choose to disable resale for certain games or events.)

Eligible tickets include, but aren’t limited to:

Question 8

Can I sell tickets I purchased on another resale site (StubHub, Gametime, etc.)?

Accepted Answer

No. FlipSeats only supports tickets from season ticket holder accounts, and currently, we integrate with Ticketmaster Account Manager. Single-game tickets purchased on secondary marketplaces cannot be resold through FlipSeats.

We also do not support resale of non-season tickets in regular Ticketmaster accounts, such as concerts or one-off event tickets.

Can I sell parking passes on FlipSeats?

Maybe. Parking passes must be in your Ticketmaster season ticket holder account and issued as part of your season ticket package. We cannot sell parking passes that are in other accounts.

Additionally, parking pass resale is currently in beta and may not be supported by all teams. To check if your passes are eligible, link your season ticket holder account and look for the parking icon next to the event in FlipSeats.

Can I sell tickets from a partial season ticket plan?

Yes! If you have a partial season ticket plan, you can still sell your single-game tickets through FlipSeats, as long as they are managed through Ticketmaster Account Manager (not a regular Ticketmaster account).

Question 11

Can I list international tickets?

Accepted Answer

FlipSeats does not currently support international events.

FlipSeats only supports season ticket holder accounts based in the U.S. Additionally, sellers must reside in the U.S. and have a U.S. bank account to receive payments.

Why do I need to link my season ticket holder account?

Accepted Answer

Linking your season ticket holder account is required to use FlipSeats. It allows us to securely display your ticket inventory in the app, making it faster and easier to list your tickets. You won’t need to manually enter barcodes, event information, or seating details—all data is pulled directly from your account. Even when linked, your tickets remain in your season ticket holder account until you choose to list them.

This integration also lets us automatically transfer your tickets to our consignment account when you list, so we can manage marketplace distribution and transfers to buyers when your tickets sell. If you cancel the listing, the integration automatically returns the tickets to your season ticket holder account.

For security, your credentials are securely stored, and no one on the FlipSeats team can access them or log in to your account.

Linking your season ticket holder account makes reselling season tickets simple, convenient, and secure.

Question 13

Do my tickets get transferred to FlipSeats when I list them?

Yes. When you list your season tickets with FlipSeats, they are temporarily moved from your Ticketmaster account into a FlipSeats consignment account. This is what allows us to:

Distribute your season tickets across multiple resale marketplaces
Transfer them directly to the buyer once they sell
Automatically remove the listing from other marketplaces to prevent double-selling

You still own your tickets until they sell. As long as they haven’t sold, you can edit or cancel your listing, and your tickets will be returned to your season ticket holder account.

Can I edit my listing once it's posted?

Accepted Answer

Yes! As long as your tickets haven’t sold, you can edit or cancel your listing at any time. Edits can include updates to the ticket price, quantity, expiration, split type, or turning Pro Pricing on or off.

Any changes you make are automatically pushed out to all marketplaces where your tickets are listed, keeping your information consistent and visible to buyers.

FlipSeats makes it easy to adjust your listings on the fly, giving you full control over your season ticket resale.

What if I sell my tickets somewhere else (i.e. Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist)?

Accepted Answer

Once your season tickets are listed through FlipSeats, you won’t be able to transfer them directly to another buyer. That’s because FlipSeats temporarily holds your tickets in a secure consignment account in order to manage your listings across multiple marketplaces.

If you want to transfer your tickets to a friend or sell them through another platform, you’ll first need to cancel your FlipSeats listing. Once canceled, the tickets will return to your season ticket holder account, and you can transfer or resell them however you’d like.

The benefit of listing tickets with FlipSeats is that you don’t have to rely on sites like Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. Our system automatically markets your tickets across major resale platforms, giving you access to the largest audience and the best chance of a fast, secure sale.

Do I need to transfer my tickets after they sell?

Accepted Answer

No. Once your season tickets sell through FlipSeats, you don’t need to transfer them yourself, log back into FlipSeats, or take any extra steps. We handle everything for you:

Securely transferring your tickets to the buyer
Collecting payment on your behalf
Removing the listing from all other marketplaces

All you have to do is wait for payment. The only exception is your first sale—at that time, you’ll be prompted to log into FlipSeats to complete a one-time payment account setup.

Reselling season tickets has never been simpler. FlipSeats manages the process from sale to transfer so you can list with confidence.

How will I know when my tickets sell?

FlipSeats will always send you an email notification when your season tickets sell. Depending on your notification settings, you may also receive an SMS message and/or app push notification.

You can also log into your FlipSeats account at any time to see:

The sale price of your tickets
The amount you’ll receive after fees
The anticipated payment date

Can I cancel my listing?

Accepted Answer

Yes! As long as your tickets haven’t sold, you can cancel your listing at any time. When you cancel, your tickets are automatically transferred back to your season ticket holder account, where you can re-accept them.

Once the tickets are back in your account, you’re free to use them, transfer them, or relist them whenever you choose.

FlipSeats gives you complete control and flexibility over your season ticket resale—canceling is quick, simple, and hassle-free.

Note: If using Pro Pricing, tickets must be canceled at least 3 hours before your event starts. You’ll receive email reminders as that window approaches. If you don’t cancel, your listing will stay active until game time, giving you a chance to reach last-minute buyers.

What if I decide I want to go to the event after I listed my tickets?

If your tickets haven’t sold yet, you can de-list your tickets at any time. Whether you decide to attend the event yourself, give the tickets to a friend, or sell them elsewhere, canceling your FlipSeats listing is simple.

Once you cancel, your tickets are transferred back to your season ticket holder account, where you can use them, transfer them, or relist them.

Do you price my tickets for me?

FlipSeats offers an optional feature called Pro Pricing, where our professional pricing team sets competitive prices for your season tickets. This allows sellers to be hands-off while ensuring tickets are priced to sell based on current market conditions.

A few important points to know:

You can set a minimum price, so your tickets will never be priced lower than you’re comfortable with.
Tickets may sell for less than face value, especially as the event date approaches and prices naturally drop.
You will receive notifications of any price changes, so you always know your active list price.

If you’re not comfortable with a price change, you can cancel your listing or set your own price manually at any time.

Note: While our goal is to get your tickets sold at the best price to you, we cannot guarantee a sale. The market ultimately determines demand.

Once you set a price, you can update it at any time, and the new price will automatically push out to all marketplaces where your tickets are listed. This makes it simple to adjust your pricing based on demand while keeping your listings consistent and visible across multiple platforms.

Do you provide pricing recommendations?

Currently, FlipSeats does not provide direct pricing recommendations. However, we make it easy for ticket sellers to research competitive market prices. Within the ticket listing workflow, FlipSeats provides deep links to your exact event on Ticketmaster and/or Vivid Seats. From there, you can view other seats for sale in your section or compare tickets with a similar view or distance from the action.

You’ll receive an email notification each time your ticket prices change, so you always know the current listing price. If you’re not happy with a price set by Pro Pricing, you can turn it off and set your own price, or cancel the listing entirely. Additionally, you can set a minimum price to ensure your tickets are never priced for less than you’re comfortable with.

Additional factors include rivalry matchups, weekday vs. weekend games, promotions, playoff implications, weather, and standout player performances. While most of these are already reflected in market pricing, our team quickly adjusts when unexpected events occur—like a jersey retirement announcement or a winning streak—to ensure your tickets aren’t undervalued.

With Pro Pricing, your season tickets are priced strategically by experts who combine real-time data, market insights, and professional experience to maximize your chance of a successful sale.

What payment methods do you offer?

FlipSeats processes payments via ACH transfers through our secure third-party partner, Plaid. When your season tickets sell, you’ll be prompted to safely connect your bank account. Payments are then deposited directly into your account 5–8 days after the event.

For your security, FlipSeats never sees or has access to your bank information—all connections and transfers are handled securely through Plaid. This ensures reselling season tickets is both safe and straightforward.

Note: At this time, FlipSeats can only process payments to US-based bank accounts.

How long does it take to receive payment?

You can expect to receive payment for your ticket sale 5–8 business days after the event.

Payment is held until after the event to protect both you and FlipSeats in case of any issues with ticket transfers or a canceled event. This practice is common across many secondary marketplaces, providing sellers with a predictable, reliable payout schedule while minimizing risk.

Does FlipSeats charge a fee to list tickets?

There is no upfront cost to use FlipSeats or to list your season tickets across our network of marketplaces. Fees are only charged once your tickets sell, and they are equal to or competitive with what you would pay if selling on an individual marketplace.

Our fee is a percentage of the total sale, and is outlined in our terms and conditions. Additionally, your expected payout is automatically calculated when pricing your tickets, so you’ll always know exactly what you’ll earn before listing—no surprises.

Question 29

Do I need to provide my tax information?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but only if your ticket sales exceed $600 in a calendar year. The IRS requires a 1099-K for any seller who crosses this threshold. This rule applies to all ticket resale sites, not just FlipSeats.

If you sell more than $600 in tickets, our third-party payment partner, Dwolla, will contact you to request a completed W-9. Dwolla will handle filing the paperwork and sending your 1099-K at tax time. FlipSeats never sees any information you provide to Dwolla.

FlipSeats takes the security of your data seriously, including ticketing accounts and banking credentials.

When you link your ticketing accounts, your credentials are securely stored and used only to display your ticket inventory in FlipSeats and facilitate transfers when you list or sell your tickets. Team members do not have access to your credentials and cannot log in to your account.

All payments are handled through trusted, best-in-class financial partners. Your sensitive banking information is never accessible to FlipSeats and is not stored in our systems.
