FlipSeats is not a marketplace for ticket buyers. Unlike Ticketmaster, StubHub, and others, we do not have a consumer-facing interface where tickets can be purchased. FlipSeats is specifically designed for ticket sellers.
While you could list tickets for sale on an individual marketplace, your tickets will only be shown to buyers on that site, which is usually less than 30% of the total buying market.* Selling tickets through FlipSeats increases the visibility of your tickets by listing them on major marketplaces where buyers are shopping, including Ticketmaster, StubHub, Vivid Seats, Seat Geek, Gametime, and others.
*Based on internal data and reporting showing that not one marketplace accounts for more than 30% of ticket sales.
Currently, FlipSeats integrates with Ticketmaster Account Manager (season ticket holder accounts). Any tickets to a sporting event in your Ticketmaster Account Manager can be listed through FlipSeats, as long as the team or venue allows the option for resale (some teams have elected to turn off this ability). FlipSeats supports most major league sports teams.
Once your tickets sell, you don’t need to transfer your tickets to the buyer or take any additional action because FlipSeats manages the ticket transfer and payment collection for you. Additionally, we remove the listing from all other marketplaces. After your ticket sells, simply sit back, relax, and wait for payment!
FlipSeats allows sellers to easily set and edit their own list price, which is then automatically updated across marketplaces.. We’ve included links to pricing guidance within the listing workflow that you can reference when determining how to price your tickets.
If you’d like us to manage pricing, you may opt to turn on our exclusive Pro Pricing feature. With Pro Pricing, our team of professional pricers will price and reprice your tickets, ensuring they’re listed at the best price based on current market conditions. You will receive regular notifications of price changes so you always know what your tickets are listed for and can cancel your listing or turn off Pro Pricing if you disagree with the price that was set.
FlipSeats follows the industry standard of paying after an event occurs. This is to ensure the tickets are valid and can be transferred to the buyer, and that the event isn’t canceled.
When your tickets sell, you will be prompted to securely connect your bank account through Plaid. Payments will be deposited directly into your account via ACH transfer within 5-8 days after the event occurs.
Note: FlipSeats never sees or has access to your bank information. Payments are made securely through our 3rd party partner.
We recommend you review your team’s season ticket holder agreement. Every team has different restrictions and guidelines for season ticket holders regarding how and where they sell their tickets. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to know what their team’s terms are. For those who can resell tickets, FlipSeats provides the means to get your tickets seen by the largest audience of buyers through mass distribution to our marketplace partners, including Ticketmaster, StubHub, Seat Geek, Vivid Seats, and more.
